I met Claude Cormier, a Montreal-based landscape architect, on GSD core landscape reviews yesterday. He was part of an excellent larger panel that included Matt Urbanski from MVVA, Jane Amidon from Ohio State, and Paula Miejerink from the GSD. Claude was insightful and had excellent humor. Most importantly, the graphic language and spirit of his work is very Utile:
These perspectives are part of his project for the Toronto Waterfront: Sugar Beach/Jarvis Slip. The people in the renderings remind me of the paintings of Alex Katz.
